Freedom Purchased!

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Colossians 1:13-14 NLT

If you have been on the Better Off Read website before, you may have noticed the BURNING BUSH SIGHTINGS CATEGORY. These are posts on particular topics that God is speaking so clearly that it is just as if He was speaking through a burning bush as He did with Moses. It is some truth that He wants to impart to us so he purposefully repeats Himself in a short amount of time. Last week, I posted FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM (Click here to view), which was about how it is for freedom that Christ has set us free. So many of us walk in bondage to addictions, unforgiveness or other areas of struggle when we have already been set free. After writing that post, Our women’s weekly Bible Study video from Kelly Minter’s study on Nehemiah was on the exact topic and even used the exact scripture as my featured scripture: It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1. Merely a coincidence? Maybe. But this morning a friend posted this Youtube video and now I’m reporting this as a Burning Bush Sighting!

Not only does our Heavenly Father want us to walk in the freedom that He purchased for us, He wants us to declare freedom to those around us and willingly do whatever he asks to help others walk in that freedom and hope. If you need help to break free from a bondage, contact me. I’m here to listen, pray or refer you to a clergy in your area! LH
